MATC Alum Gregory Wozniak Receives American Culinary Federation Award
(April 28, 2010) - MATC alumnus Gregory Wozniak received the American Culinary Federation, Inc., Central Region Hermann G. Rusch Chef’s Achievement Award. The award was presented at the ACF Central Regional Conference in late March.
The award recognizes a chef who has generously shared his/her knowledge with others and continues to be a source of information and guidance for other culinarians. Wozniak is now eligible for the national Rusch Award, which will be presented in early August.
Wozniak, a 1968 graduate with an associate degree in hotel/restaurant cookery (now called culinary arts), commented, “This is very exciting. It is extremely important because it recognizes what I have accomplished throughout my career.”
A resident of Germantown, Wozniak worked for 42 years as a chef, including positions at Sendik’s, Sodexho Campus Services, Milwaukee Jewish Home and Care Center, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and ARAMARK Corporation/Harley Davidson Motor Company. Wozniak serves on the MATC culinary arts advisory committee.
