MATC Names Christine McGee Director of Fundraising and Development, Executive Director of MATC Foundation
MILWAUKEE (Nov. 3, 2010) – Milwaukee Area Technical College has announced the appointment of Christine McGee as director of fundraising and development and executive director of the Milwaukee Area Technical College Foundation, Inc. McGee started her position Oct. 27.
McGee spent the last four years as development director at the Skylight Opera Theatre Corp., where she led a team that was responsible for a 40 percent increase in fundraising. Prior to that, she was a vice president and Wisconsin manager for philanthropy and community relations for JPMorgan Chase & Co. from 2002 to 2006. She managed charitable contributions, sponsorships and community relations across Wisconsin.
“We are thrilled to have a person with Christine’s background join MATC,” said Dr. Michael L. Burke, MATC President. “She has numerous connections throughout Milwaukee’s business and philanthropic communities and I am confident that she will do an exceptional job leading the MATC Foundation.”
McGee also worked at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation (2001 to 2002) as donor services operations officer and spent 17 years at U.S. Bank where she held a number of leadership positions, including serving successively as vice president for retail banking; quality and training; and sales support.
McGee received an associate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is a resident of Milwaukee.
Founded in 1979, the MATC Foundation, Inc., is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that exists to raise revenues, secure gifts from private-sector sources, administer the disbursement of those funds to enhance educational programs and services, and support institutional advancement activities.
