Any time computer studies leap forward at MATC, Information Technology Instructor Jim Schug probably led the charge or was in the forefront. Schug has notched a long string of firsts. He founded the Computer Software Department, began teaching classes in Windows 95 within a week of its rollout and was one of the first instructors to offer online classes in the mid ‘90s. Schug and a colleague set up MATC's first Internet server for online learners. In 2002, he developed the state's first associate degree program in information security. |
