NetLibrary Account
A NetLibrary account provides access to the eBook collection your library has purchased and made available for their library patrons to use. A NetLibrary account allows you:
- Access to your library's eBook collection from the Internet anytime of the day, seven days a week.
- Access from anywhere by entering your username and password.
- Ability to check out eBooks.
- Ability to create a list of titles and make notes in the individual titles for future reference.
You will be able to use most features and functionality without creating an account or logging in. However, in order to checkout eBooks or make notes or other personalized features, you must have an account and be logged in.
Creating an Account
A NetLibrary Account is free. Creating an account is easy. Find the link "Create a Free Account" link (not on every screen within the NetLibrary website). When you are ready to create an account, use these guidelines:
- Make sure you are in the Netlibrary website.
- Click on the "Create a Free Account" link in the top right navigation.
- You may be directed to the create account page if you attempt to access a feature that requires an account. If this happens continue to number three.
- If you do not see the "Create a Free Account" link, check with your library administrator for guidance in finding the link.
- Fill in a username and password.
- You can use any combination of letters, numbers and standard punctuation when entering your account information.
- Usernames are not case-sensitive.
- Passwords must be at least six characters and can not match your username.
- We strongly recommend you do not share your username and password with anyone.
- The creator of an account is ultimately responsible for the activity on the account.
- Complete the security information by selecting a question and filling in your answer to your selected question.
- Complete the personal information.
- Review your information to ensure that it is correct, especially your e-mail address.
- Click on the Create Account button.
- If your account was not created, a list of Input Errors will be posted at the top of the page.
- If your account was created, the message "Your account has been successfully created" will be shown at the top of the page.

Logging In and Out of NetLibrary
- Log in by:
- Clicking the Log In link in the top right navigation.
- You may be directed to the log in page if you attempt to access a feature that requires an account.
- Enter your User Id and Password.
- Click on the Login button.
- When you have logged in successfully, you will enter NetLibrary.
- Once you have finished using the site, you log out by:
- Clicking the "Log Out" link in the top right navigation.
- We strongly suggest you log out, especially if you are using a shared computer. This is to prevent any unauthorized users from accessing your account.
- Your session will log itself out after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Forgot Your Username or Password?
To retrieve your username or password:
- Click the link "Forgot Your Username or Password?" on the login screen.
- Enter the e-mail address you provided when creating your account.
- Click on the Submit button.
- Enter your Security Answer exactly as you entered it when you created your account.
- Click on the Submit button.
- Your password will be sent to the e-mail address you provided within a few minutes.

Editing Your Account
Once you have logged into NetLibrary you may edit your account. You may update:
- Your personal account information
- Password
- Security question and answer
- Name
- E-mail address
- Your account preferences
- Display language
- Collection search
- Search result display
You will not be able to change your username.
