Gain the skills needed to enter the school paraprofessional field through MATC’s Paraprofessional Track (K-12 Classroom), an individualized technical studies degree program. Graduation requires the completion of a 66-credit curriculum, with courses taken in the Early Childhood Education program and core Liberal Arts and Sciences/General Education courses. 

Career Outlook: Classroom paraprofessionals are needed to provide instructional and clerical support for classroom teachers. Paraprofessionals support and assist children in learning class material, and many work extensively with special education students.  

 

Start Dates: August/January 

Special Admission Requirements: Meet with an MATC program advisor.
