Gain the skills needed to enter the school paraprofessional field through MATC’s Paraprofessional Track (K-12 Classroom), an Individualized Technical Studies degree program. Graduation requires the completion of a 66-credit curriculum, with courses taken in the Early Childhood Education program and core Liberal Arts and Sciences/General Education courses.
Career Outlook: Classroom paraprofessionals are needed to provide instructional and clerical support for classroom teachers. Paraprofessionals support and assist children in learning class material, and many work extensively with special education students.
