Career Outlook — In the Milwaukee legal community, legal administrative professionals trained to work in law offices are in demand. As caseloads in our nation’s courts and law offices increase, so does the demand for legal support staff to manage the associated paperwork. Some duties that legal administrative professionals commonly perform include preparing papers and correspondence of a legal nature, arranging and scheduling calendar of appointments, and keeping confidential reports and personal records.

  • Use manual and electronic filing methods as well as records management procedures
  • Use applications software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and data communications proficiently
  • Demonstrate proficiency in formatting and producing various types of legal documents

Key to your success in the program are a firm grasp of English usage and an ability to express yourself orally and in writing. A strong personal and professional code of ethics is essential.
