Grad Report Affirms Our Economic Muscle To those who were away, welcome back. This new academic year promises to be exciting. It was an upbeat summer at MATC. We registered an unprecedented number of new students. And our 2007 Graduate Report was issued.
This annual measurement tool surveys graduate satisfaction and provides employment data. It's an attempt to quantify our graduates' career success. Among the report highlights:
- 91% of respondents were employed or furthering their education within six months of graduation.
- The average reported starting salary of associate degree graduates was $36,600; for technical diploma graduates, $27,400.
- 97% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with their MATC education.
- 98% of respondents reported living and working in Wisconsin - the vast majority in metro Milwaukee.
In 2007, our graduate success results once again were outstanding. We can never claim all the credit; individual success ultimately is up to the individual. But we should all take pride in the fact that we provide a highly effective, and highly practical, means for individuals to seize opportunities for success.
