New Strategic Plan Development Starts Now
MATC, Wisconsin’s largest technical college, is a powerful economic engine that trains a diverse, highly skilled workforce that contributes $1.4 billion to the local economy. The college delivers results through strategic planning, which is a dynamic and collaborative process.
As our current Transformation 2025 strategic plan comes to an end, we will develop a new strategic plan that will guide the future direction of the college and ensure the long-term success of our students, employees and community — and MATC.
We invite students, employees and community stakeholders to share their perspectives in focus groups held throughout the MATC District during the Fall and Spring semesters. The more voices we hear, the better the plan will be.
The Strategic Planning Steering Committee will lead the process. Along the way, stakeholders will have opportunities to review the proposed plan and provide vital feedback before a final version goes to the MATC District Board for approval in June 2025.
A primary purpose for strategic planning—our why—is to understand the most pressing needs of our students and community so that MATC is ready to meet those needs. At the end of the current fiscal year, we will share the final plan and it will guide the work of every employee to transform lives through education.
"As we build the next strategic plan, each of your voices will help shape the direction of this college."
