Veterans and current members of the Armed Forces are given a one day priority registration for courses at the University of Wisconsin System and Technical Colleges. Milwaukee Area Technical College proudly complies with the Wisconsin Act AB201, offering eligible student veterans and current military service member’s (not including dependents) priority registration for each term. Priority registration does not waive any course or program requirements, such as prerequisites and program restrictions.

MATC Priority Registration For Fall 2024
Priority Registration for returning program veterans is Monday, April 8, 2024.
Priority Registration for ALL new* student veterans is Monday, April 15, 2024.
Priority registration allows veterans and service members (not including dependents) to register at 7:45 am one day prior to the standard designated date. Registration dates are based on your student status: returning program and undeclared program and new students. On the designated date, veterans may submit an online registration form or visit the Student Welcome Center Registration Office. Phone registration is not available.
*If you are a new MATC student veteran, please pre-submit (10 days prior) one of the documents listed below to the Military Education Support Office (MESO) - Downtown Campus - S Building - Room S115A:
- DD214 / DD215
- NGB22 / 22A - National Guard report of separation and record of Service
- Reserve Credit Report and "Discharge Order & Point Summary"
- Letter from Commanding Officer on letterhead with original signature
- Current Orders
- Letter from County Veteran Service Officer on letterhead with original signature
