Emergency Medical Technician

Prepare to enter the emergency services field, which involves working with other healthcare professionals to deliver critical, pre-hospital emergency medical care. This program also is designed to enhance existing skills of individuals working in the field. Successfully completing the program with a grade of C or better prepares you to take the National Registry Examination, required for certification and licensure in Wisconsin.
Career Outlook: The opportunities within the medical services field are growing steadily. Employers include private ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, industrial firms and security companies.
Career Pathway: After earning this technical diploma, the credits can be applied toward completing the Fire Protection Technician associate degree.
