Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

To prepare you for employment as a CNC machine operator and programmer, MATC’s equipment includes industrial-based CNC machining centers and turning centers, and computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) workstations. Students gain hands-on experience in all phases of programming and operations.
Career Outlook: Due to the high number of industrial companies in southeastern Wisconsin, there are local opportunities for skilled people. The job prospects are especially positive for trained CNC programmers.
Career Pathway: This program features exploratory courses that count toward a credential. Work continues to develop the program into a fully embedded Career Pathway.

Special Admission Requirements: Completion of Machine Tool Operations: CNC Machine Setup and Operation diploma program, two years of hands-on CNC machine tool experience.
