Appliance Technician


MATC Education Center at Walker's Square


As household electrical appliances become more complex, a greater degree of knowledge is required to service them. This two-semester program combines coursework with hands-on lab experience to attain the fundamental knowledge and skills needed. Classes are held at the MATC Education Center at Walker's Square, 816 West National Avenue, Milwaukee.

Career Outlook: The need for trained service technicians qualified to maintain appliances has increased. Appliance technicians install, service and repair automatic washers, dryers, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers and other major appliances.
