Make your mark as a civil engineering technician and assist civil engineers in planning, designing, scheduling, estimating, surveying and inspecting construction projects. These projects include highways, bridges, buildings, water systems, land development and other projects. Also, specific elective surveying courses provide the student with an option for a career in land surveying. 

Career Outlook: Employers include municipal engineering departments, civil engineering consulting firms, structural design firms, land surveying companies, highway departments, construction companies and public utilities. 

Career Pathway: New program under development – Surveying and Mapping technical diploma is planned to debut in 2016-17 as part of this pathway.

Special Admission Requirements: One year of high school-level algebra.
