Automotive Technology - Comprehensive
To prepare students to perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, repair and preventive maintenance on automobiles and light trucks, this program consists of four two-year programs. The Automotive Technology programs are MOPAR CAP (Career Automotive Program), CART (Comprehensive Automotive Repair Technology), Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Educational Training) and Honda PACT (Professional Automotive Career Training). Instruction alternates between classroom and intern work experience.
Career Outlook: The demand for trained automotive technicians is high. Employment opportunities exist with dealerships, mass merchandisers, service stations and corporate industry.
Career Pathway: A certificate program is under development and planned to debut in 2016-17 as part of this Career Pathway. Contact your advisor for details.
