Your benefits may be changing! Please go to the following website for updates: http://gibill.wisconsin.edu/
Veterans' Financial Aid GI Bill recipients can use their Veterans Administration (VA) benefits to pay for MATC college expenses. Veterans may also be eligible for other types of financial assistance, such as Financial Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov) MATC's Veterans Affairs Office is available to help you make a smooth transition into a college program using your veterans' benefits. The Office can also help ensure that your GI Bill payments arrive in time to meet college expenses.
If you are a continuing recipient of the GI Bill at MATC and have registered for classes, you can apply for your Montgomery GI Bill Benefit by submitting the VA Educational Benefits Request Form. If you are submitting the benefit request form for the fall semester you will be certified for both fall and spring. Please note that students receiving Post 9/11- Chapter 33 benefits must submit a request form every semester. There is a separate summer benefit request form that must be submitted for summer, 2010 benefits. If you are a continuing recipient of the Wisconsin GI Bill Remission Tuition at MATC and have registered for classes, you can apply for your Wisconsin GI Bill Remission Tuition by submitting a Wisconsin GI Bill Remission Request Form.
Schedule Changes and Failed Courses:
You need to notify our office if your enrollment level changes after you have submitted your VA Educational Benefits Request Form so that we can adjust your certification when necessary. Remember, your monthly rate of pay is based on the number of credits you are enrolled in. When grades are posted, we review enrollment and grades to make sure that students completed the courses for which they were certified.
