MATC Maxine Lubenow Study Abroad Scholarship Fund

To qualify, students must be registered in a MATC study abroad program (call 414.297.7765 for information about study abroad programs). Awards are limited to MATC students: admitted in a MATC program, currently enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits, who have completed a minimum of nine (9)  MATC credits at the time of application, and who have at a minimum a 2.0 GPA. Awards are one-time, non-renewable and non-transferable for each recipient. Community experience and/or volunteer work do not play a part in the award selection.

MATC Partners in Excellence

MATC JR Emergency Fund

The Jack and Lucille Rosenberg Fund is intended to help meet the financial needs of MATC students who encounter an emergency situation or one-time, unusual, or unforeseen expenses during their program. Situations eligible for funding include such events as:

  • Theft
  • Major accidents and events such as fire and natural disasters
  • Expenses related to unforeseen academic costs

Normal living expenses such as rent, car repairs, child care, and utilities are generally not considered emergency situations. Exceptions may be made for extraordinary circumstances.  Students must be in good academic standing and students who qualify for need-based financial aid, an emergency award may reduce original loan amounts. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for help in evaluating your individual circumstances.  Applications will be reviewed as needed, but only after they are complete.

MATC Student Access Fund for Emergencies (SAFE)

The Student Access Fund for Emergencies (SAFE) is available to MATC students who encounter sudden or unexpected financial trouble.  Applicable emergencies may include: utility or housing emergencies, transportation emergencies, replacement books, child care emergencies, computer needs, or inability to pay for required college fees.  Students must be in good academic standing and students who qualify for need-based financial aid, an emergency award may reduce original loan amounts. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for help in evaluating your individual circumstances.  Applications will be reviewed as needed, but only after they are complete.

MATC Violette Parson Weeks Emergency Scholarship

Must be an MATC student who has completed six (6) credits at MATC with a current cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher who experience unforeseen expenses which preclude the student from attending classes.

MATC Workforce Investment Now (WIN)

Must be an independent working student, with an adjusted gross annual income of less than $45,000; must be enrolled in a minimum of nine credits; minimum 2.5 GPA; and must have completed FAFSA and not be eligible for state and federal grants. May be renewed if student continues to meet criteria.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) Educational Foundation Awards

Minority Retention Grant (MRG)
Must have completed a minimum of 24 credits in current program. Twelve of these credits must have been taken at MATC.
