The MATC Foundation has these emergency funds to help meet the financial needs of MATC students who encounter an emergency situation or one-time, unusual, or unforeseen expense that prevents students from attending school. Situations eligible for funding include such events as theft, major accidents, fire and natural disasters.
Normal living expenses such as rent, car repairs, child care, and utilities are generally NOT considered emergency situations and will not be covered by emergency funds. In addition, emergencies that are the result of poor planning will not be covered, nor will emergencies that cannot be fully resolved by a reasonable financial award. Exceptions may be made for extraordinary circumstances, however, students must provide a plan for managing future expenses.
Students must be in good academic standing and qualify for need-based financial aid. An emergency award may reduce original loan amounts. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for help in evaluating your individual circumstances. Applications will be reviewed as needed, but only after they are complete. MATC iCare - Independent Care Health Plan Scholarship (Special Needs students)
A new scholarship fund developed for students with special needs. Must be admitted into a program enrolled in a minimum of six credits; must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; must have a high school diploma/adult GED; preference will be given to MPS graduates who have completed an individualized education plan, must submit a written career goal plan of up to 250 words in length; must submit a completed MATC Foundation scholarship application and provide two letters of recommendation; must meet the standard criteria of financial need as determined by the Federal Student Financial Aid Program. To qualify, students must be registered in a MATC study abroad program (call 414.297.7765 for information about study abroad programs). FOCUS Scholarship FOCUS, an Ozaukee County based networking organization for women business owners, management executives and professionals is offering up to $1000 in scholarship funds per semester.
