Surgical Assistant Certificate

Health Occupations Division, Downtown Milwaukee Campus

If you've completed three years of full-time work experience in surgical technology, you are eligible for admission to the Surgical Assistant certificate program. Five courses provide a good balance of theory and clinical practice in performing safe surgical procedures. You'll assist surgeons in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management of patients.

All credits in this certificate must be earned at MATC with a 2.0 GPA or better. The student must initiate the request for the certificate upon completion of requirements specified by the Health Occupations division.
