The Real Estate degree program includes broad training in the major areas of real estate, which can lead to sales and broker licenses, an appraisal license/certificate, or a career in property management. Graduates are expected to know real estate law, to calculate real estate transactions, and to understand the fundamentals of construction. Career opportunities are plentiful and include sales and brokerage, appraisal, property management, investment, tax assessing, and building inspection, Core skills include the ability to work well with people and with numbers. You should be willing to work evenings and weekends. MATC also offers short-term certificates and prep courses for state licensing exams.
