This certificate from the Graphic Arts Department requires prior completion of an associate degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Graphic Communication Technologies (Printing and Electronic Publishing), Visual Communication/Computer Graphics, or a bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience as evaluated by the division. Multimedia Networking provides the skills needed to set up, troubleshoot and maintain computer systems configured for a visual communication/computer graphics environment. Macintosh and PC platforms are covered. Topics include disaster recovery, managing network traffic and database options for managing multimedia files that include video, sound and animation.
