This program does not have a waitlist. Students are admitted through a petition process. Please read all information through the links on the right.

A criterion considered in the petition process is verification of student residency. As directed by TCS 10, students selected via the petition process are chosen based on MATC district residency, then Wisconsin non-district residency, followed by non-residents, unless otherwise articulated.

Note: Assistance with petition packet paperwork will not be provided once petition windows have opened.

The Medical Assistant two-semester program emphasizes the skills and knowledge needed to work in doctors' offices, clinics and other medical facilities. As one of health care's most versatile professionals, graduates perform various duties such as assisting in the physical exam, drawing blood, administering EKGs, and carrying out lab procedures. Core skills include accuracy and the ability to work with people, often in fast-paced situations. The demand for Certified Medical Assistants is high. This program may be taken on a part-time basis. All program courses with the prefix CLABT and MEDAST courses must be completed within 18 months of starting technical courses in the program.
