Management Development is an associate degree program designed to train people who are currently employed in leadership and management positions, or people who plan to move into such positions. The curriculum focuses on supervisory skills in human relations, budgeting, internal improvement and report writing. The program is offered in an accelerated format called "FORWARD Management," which allows you to finish your degree in less than three years by taking classes one evening per week, year-round. Each three-credit course is six weeks long, four hours per night or on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m.-12:25 p.m. Graduates of MATC's Management Development associate degree program typically are employed in positions as supervisors, lead persons, group leaders and managers. Core skills include team building, communication and problem solving. You should have at least two years of full-time work experience.
