Diesel and Powertrain Servicing is a one-year diploma program that trains students how to service equipment powered by gas or diesel engines. Emphasis is placed on the repair of heavy trucks. In the transportation/construction equipment industries, truck and heavy equipment mechanics are in constant demand. Typical job titles are diesel mechanic, truck mechanic, service technician and construction equipment mechanic. Core skills include attentiveness, the ability to follow directions and manual dexterity.
