Business Management- Accelerated FAQs
Business Management - Accelerated is geared toward working adults, with classes one evening each week at the Oak Creek Campus.
Do you have two years of full-time business work experience? Do you want to attend courses with classmates who are also working and attending classes in the evening? Are you able to work independently to complete course assignments outside of class? Can you work well in teams to present innovative business ideas? If yes, then this program is the right one for you.
Since classes meet fewer weeks, students are expected to complete more of the coursework outside of class. Students should plan for homework to take five to 10 hours per week.
Accelerated courses are offered in a predetermined sequence that begins each January. Students who wish to start in fall can complete general education courses before beginning the accelerated business courses. The time to complete this degree is a minimum of two years for students who already have earned the general education credits, or three to four years for students who need to complete all 68 credits. Students can apply online or in person, but must successfully pass the Accuplacer placement test and participate in an interview with the program coordinator.
Business Management is also offered in two non-accelerated options: The Transfer Track option for those who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree and transfer credits to a four-year college or university, and the Career Track option for those who do not plan to pursue a bachelor's degree.
Added Career Value: You can also earn the Business Management diploma on your way to completing this associate degree. Required courses count toward the diploma program.
