Overview — To succeed in a sales or marketing career, learn the latest sales technologies and trends in commercial and consumer markets.

This program will benefit  students with no experience in sales, as well as those already working in the field, seeking to enhance their skills. Coursework will strengthen effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills; it focuses on understanding the relationship between the business world and the changing characteristics of commercial and consumer markets.

 

Online Option — This program is offered entirely online; on-campus testing may be required. Classes also may be taken on campus.


Career Pathway — After earning this technical diploma, your credits can be applied to completing the Marketing Management associate degree.Contact an MATC advisor for information.


Career Outlook — Opportunities for employment in sales are expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through 2020; sales will continue to be essential for organizations as they look to maintain and expand their share of the market.

Preparation for Admission — The following are required for admission to the program:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Demonstration of proficiency in basic skills through a course placement assessment
  • Basic computer skills are highly recommended
