Overview — Prepare for a career in the multimedia, animation, web design and development fields through comprehensive coursework in MATC's unique facilities.

Coursework includes work in graphic design, digital audio/video, interface design, web design and front-end development.

You should have  a well-developed imagination with a talent for visual problem-solving, and normal vision and hearing, normal color and depth perception. Important to your success in this program are abilities to work as part of a team, to work under stress, and to meet deadlines.

 

Career Pathway — You can earn the Front-End Web Developer technical diploma on your way to completing this associate degree. Contact an MATC advisor for information.
 

Career Outlook — Society's growing information orientation has created ongoing employment opportunities for multimedia and web producers. This program is also useful for those who use media in their current occupation, such as teachers, trainers, advertising and marketing specialists.

Admission Requirements  — The following are required for admission to the program:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstration of proficiency in basic skills through a course placement assessment
  • Demonstration of basic computer skills in operating systems, word processing and the internet
