Fire Drills

The Department of Public Safety will be conducting fire drills on the following dates:
 
Oak Creek Campus
Monday, October 3, 2011 9:00 am and 6:00 pm
 
Downtown Milwaukee Campus
Tuesday, October 4, 2011 9:00 am and 6:00 pm
 
Mequon Campus
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 9:00 am and 6:00 pm
 
West Allis Campus
Thursday, October 6, 2011 9:00 am and 6:00 pm
 
Please note that drills will be conducted one building at a time, starting at the designated time, until all buildings have been drilled.  We anticipate that these drills will cause only a slight inconvenience and will work to ensure that normal operations are resumed as soon as possible. 
 
We request that you prepare by reviewing evacuation routes and relocation points.  Prior to the drills, faculty should discuss expectations during and after the drills with their students.  The following evacuation guidelines are recommended:
 
1.  Follow directions from emergency notifications and MATC personnel.
2.  Stay together as a class or office group.
3.  Proceed to relocation point in calm and orderly manner.
4.  Provide assistance to anyone in need.
5.  Remain in designated relocation point until the all-clear has been given.
6.  Any community member with mobility difficulties may position themselves at the nearest safe stairwell and shelter in place.
