Leaders from Milwaukee Area Technical College and Cardinal Stritch University signed agreements today that will allow students who complete MATC associate degrees in Culinary Management, Hotel/Hospitality Management or Meeting and Event Management to move directly to Stritch’s new Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program with junior status. The agreements will help prepare students for careers and career advancement in the rapidly growing hospitality sector.

“These new articulation agreements give students who complete programs at MATC the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Cardinal Stritch University and advance in their chosen careers,” said Milwaukee Area Technical College President Vicki J. Martin, Ph.D. “MATC and Stritch have a long and successful history with numerous articulation agreements and I am confident these new agreements will benefit our students and area businesses in the hospitality sector.”

“This collaborative agreement fuels student success by expanding the educational and career opportunities available to our students and the greater Milwaukee community,” said Cardinal Stritch University President James P. Loftus, Ph.D. “This articulation agreement provides an academic and career pathway for students to reach a higher earning potential and helps provide a talented workforce to meet the growing need in the hospitality sector. It’s a partnership for education, a partnership for jobs, and a partnership for a better Milwaukee. We are extremely pleased to be working with MATC.”
