New Academic Programs Introduced for 2013-2014

Milwaukee Area Technical College will introduce 14 new associate degree, technical diploma and apprenticeship programs in 2013-2014.

"The new programs exemplify MATC's responsive to the needs of area businesses," said MATC President Dr. Michael L. Burke. "Students will have an opportunity to prepare for careers in some of the fastest-growing industries."

The new programs include:

In addition to these new programs, the names of three other programs were changed:

  • Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced technical diploma (formerly Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate) - School of Technology and Applied Sciences
  • IT Mobile Applications Developer associate degree (formerly IT Programmer/Analyst) - School of Business
  • Interactive Media associate degree (formerly Visual Communication/Computer Graphics) - School of Media and Creative Arts
