MATC Stormer Passes VALID
for Wisconsin Voter Photo ID

The Stormer Pass, Milwaukee Area Technical College’s student identification card, can be used as a voter photo ID if it was issued after August 1, 2011. The new version of the Stormer Pass contains the elements required by the State of Wisconsin - date of issuance, signature of student, and an expiration date.

Stormer Pass

MATC students must have a document that proves current enrollment when voting in addition to the Stormer Pass. Be sure you take a copy of your 2012 Spring Semester Course Schedule to prove that you are currently enrolled at MATC when you go to vote. Schedules can be accessed at INFOnline and printed at any MATC Academic Support Center or Library.

Here are some guidelines for using your Stormer Pass as a Voter Photo ID:

  • If your Stormer Pass was issued before August 1, 2011, you need a new one!
  • MATC will issue you a new Stormer Pass at no charge, but you must trade in your current Stormer Pass.
  • If you have never had a Stormer Pass, there is no charge to obtain one, as long as you are taking more than one (1) credit.
  • If your Stormer Pass was issued after August 1, 2011, you do not need a new one.

MATC's administration, faculty and staff recommended that all MATC students obtain a Stormer Pass. To learn about benefits and other uses of the Stormer Pass, visit http://matc.edu/student/studentlife/campus_card.html
