MATC Provided Training for Dislocated Workers Through Accelerated Bilingual CNC Program
MILWAUKEE (June 15, 2012) – Twelve dislocated workers graduated from a customized accelerated bilingual (Spanish/English) computer numerical control (CNC) training program at a celebration June 15 at the HIRE Center.
Training was coordinated by Milwaukee Area Technical College's Office of Workforce and Economic Development and delivered by MATC instructors. The program was funded by the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board and the HIRE Center. Students received 330 hours training in CNC, blueprint reading, machine trades mathematics and basic shop inspection.
