Real-world experience will be part of your studies as you prepare for employment as a social service worker. Students can pursue special-interest areas such as working with youths, the elderly or people with disabilities or addictions. This program is endorsed for substance abuse training. Core skills include empathy and a commitment to serve others. 

Career Outlook: Human service associates find careers with a range of agencies and programs that help people. Graduates work in community outreach programs, social agencies, counseling centers, educational institutions or correctional facilities. 

Career Pathway: This program features exploratory courses that count toward a credential. Work continues to develop the program into a fully embedded Career Pathway.
