Explore contemporary urban issues with an emphasis on social action and diverse perspectives, and learn strategies to create positive change through advocacy and community engagement. Through this program's curriculum, you will develop effective solution-driven approaches and communication skills. 

This track of the Associate in Arts degree provides the first two years of bachelor’s degree credit courses that transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Contact an MATC advisor for information.

Career Outlook: Nonprofit organizations, government agencies and political causes have a growing demand for qualified staff to engage in advocacy, community organizing, fundraising, communication, public engagement, leadership and social media.
