Nursing Assistant

TECHNICAL DIPLOMA

Downtown Milwaukee, Oak Creek and West Allis campuses 

 

This is a one-course, three-credit program that prepares you for employment as an entry-level bedside caregiver. The Nursing Assistant course focuses on basic nursing skills and procedures to assist hospital patients, nursing home residents and at-home health clients with their daily living activities, specialized care and communication needs. 

Bilingual Option: Nursing Assistant students are instructed in English, but selected sections are specific for the bilingual learner. 

Career Outlook: Employment opportunities are available through nursing homes, hospitals, home health agencies and private-duty practice settings.
