Prepare for a career coordinating non-direct patient care tasks, including order transcription, clerical support functions and customer service interactions, as well as taking direction from physicians, nurses and other health professionals. Classes are held at MATC's Health Education Center (HEC), 1311 North Sixth Street.

Career Outlook: The demand for this profession continues to grow. Positions are available in hospitals, long-term care facilities and clinics.

Career Pathway: You can earn the Healthcare Customer Service certificate on the way to completing this program. After earning the Health Unit Coordinator technical diploma, your credits can be applied toward completing the Healthcare Services Management associate degree.

A criterion considered in the petition process is verification of student residency. Students selected via the petition process are chosen based on MATC district residency, then Wisconsin nondistrict residency, followed by nonresidents, unless otherwise stated.
