Overview — Business Management - Transfer Track is an associate degree program that prepares you to start a career in business. Enroll in this program if you plan to pursue a bachelor's degree. The program features 200-level Liberal Arts and Sciences classes required for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. It is also useful if you are seeking a job change or advancement. The training is designed to give you a broad background of business knowledge. An internship is available on an optional basis if you select the course BADM-198, Business Internship as an elective. This program is also offered online and in an accelerated format, with classes one evening per week year-round.

Career Outlook — Graduates of the Business Management - Career Track program locate employment in a wide cross-section of businesses, from large industrial companies to small service-oriented franchises, as well as in self-employment. Typical positions available to graduates of the program include management trainee and supervisor trainee.
Program Learning Outcomes — Employers expect you as a program graduate to be able to:
- Create and employ business strategies based on sound business principles.
- Be familiar with and function effectively within various organizational structures and forms
- Communicate proficiently with staff, supervisors and customers
- Formulate decisions utilizing knowledge of business law concepts
- Implement basic accounting principles to business situations
Preparation for Admission — The following are required for admission to the program:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Demonstration of proficiency in basic skills through a course placement assessment
Some capabilities are of major significance to your success in the program. For instance, you must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in your interactions with others. You will need to possess the flexibility to shift attention as problems present themselves, have an interest in work involving people and business procedures, and exhibit patience and courtesy in handling inquiries and complaints.
