Opportunities will add up for entry-level jobs in the accounting field with this one-year diploma program. Students develop a competence in all areas of accounting including financial, managerial, tax and payroll. If planning to continue your education, all of the program’s credits can transfer to MATC’s Accounting associate degree program, either as required courses or electives. 

Career Outlook: Typical job duties involve working with and making computerized entries to general ledgers, accounts receivable and payable, and basic accounting reports. All organizations, including government, nonprofit firms and commercial companies, need individuals with these skills.
