TECHNICAL DIPLOMA

This program prepares you to work in the barbering profession, in compliance with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. You will learn shampooing, trimming, cutting and hairstyling techniques, as well as shaving, beard trimming, hair coloring and chemical texture services. The program can be completed in two semesters, and graduates are eligible to take the state board licensing exam.

Career Outlook: Employment prospects for licensed barbers are excellent. Many barbers are self-employed, either owning their business or leasing booth space in a salon or barbershop.
