Through hands-on coursework, you will set up network operating systems and equipment such as servers, PCs, switches and routers, and work with emerging technologies.

The program also prepares students for industry-sought certifications including the VMware Certified Professional-Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Windows 7, MCTS - Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, MCTS - Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+.

Career Outlook: Employment opportunities are expected to grow, including positions for network administrators, specialists and technicians; and desktop support specialists.

Career Pathway: After earning this technical diploma, your credits can be applied toward completing the IT Network Specialist associate degree.
