Water Technician

This certificate program provides the core skills recognized by the water industry for an entry-level position. The water technician performs basic, hands-on technical work, and this program is intended to be the first step of a career pathway to increase the number of individuals gaining technical/engineering skills. This certificate also enhances employment opportunities in the water sector for individuals with a college degree.

Career Pathway: After earning this certificate, your credits can be applied to completing the Environmental Health and Water Quality Technology associate degree. Contact your program advisor for information.

Start Dates: August/January

Special Admission Requirements: One semester of high school-level algebra; high school diploma or GED.

Career Cluster: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources
