Military Credit For Prior Learning (MCPLE)

MATC recently revised the entire MCPLE program to better serve our student veterans. This program is also continuously being updated as more faculty and departments update their specific program course credit requirements. We also strongly recommend that you speak to the MESO military advisor for specific MCPLE and program advisement/information based on your individual educational goals. MCPLE information and application processes are available on the MATC homepage, student services, getting started, credit for prior learning and experience.

Granting Credit Where Credit is Due

Military Credit for Prior Learning Overview (PDF)

Service members, reservists, and veterans pursuing a college education may be able to obtain academic credit for military courses they have completed through the military. MATC evaluates military training and experience according to ACE standards for recommended college credit.

To see if you are eligible for military CPLE, complete the steps below.

Order Military Transcripts:
Once your JST transcripts have been ordered, MATC’s CPLE department will receive it virtually. Once CPLE reviews, evaluates, and processes your JST, you will receive an email to view any changes made on your program plan.

If you have any questions, please contact Armon Brunson at brunsoam@matc.edu or Wesley Walker at walkerw9@matc.edu. Armon and Wesley can also be reached in the Veterans Resource Center at (414) 297-6348.
