Mequon Campus Business Technology Center

The Business Technology Center (BTC) provides software and office technology courses in a self-directed computer classroom environment, staffed by instructors. Because of the flexible format of the BTC, students may be able to complete their courses in a shorter period of time than in a traditional classroom. The BTC's convenient day and evening hours as well as instructor availability have provided a welcome solution to scheduling needs for busy students.

Class Structure

• Students coordinate their schedules in the BTC with instructors.
• Students may schedule a maximum of 15 hours over a five-week period for a one-credit class.
• Students may schedule a maximum of 45 hours over a 15-week period for a three-credit class.
• Students are guaranteed access to the BTC and its resources during their scheduled times.
• Students are welcome to use the center within its operating hours in addition to their scheduled time.
• Working off-site, either at home, work or other MATC campuses, is also an option if needed.
• All courses must be completed by the end of the semester. 

Enrollment

• Enrollment for a one-credit class is through the twelfth week of the semester.
• Enrollment for a two- or three-credit class is through the first week of the semester. Students wishing to enroll in a two- or three-credit class beyond the first week of the semester will need permission from the instructor.
• After enrolling, students should call the BTC to set up an appointment to meet their instructors, coordinate scheduling and receive course information.
