Point Reduction
|
The Traffic Safety School program is a course of instruction designed to reduce the number of violations and crashes in Wisconsin. Participants will examine their driving behavior and review traffic laws and penalties. Emphasis will be placed on ways to drive responsibly. The Traffic Safety School program will show participants how to develop a change plan to reduce their risk of traffic violations and crashes. There is a minimum of 12 classroom hours in this program. Depending on the students' Wisconsin driving record status, a three - demerit point reduction to their current record may be requested upon successful completion of the course.

Defensive Driving
|
This 4 hour course will help drivers recognize hazards and avoid traffic fines by highlighting safe driving habits. This is the required course to obtain a City of Milwaukee public passenger vehicle license.

Group Dynamics
|
The Group Dynamics program is a highway safety initiative within Wisconsin which aims to assist persons involved in their first alcohol/other drug-related traffic offense, to make permanent changes in their irresponsible drinking and driving behavior and attitudes. There is a minimum of 21 classroom hours contained in this alcohol/other drug educational program. Depending on the students' Wisconsin driving record status, a three-demerit point reduction to their current record may be requested upon successful completion of the course.

Multiple Offender Program
|
The Multiple Offender Program is a specialized education course for individuals who have received two or more Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) charges. In addition to providing alcohol education, the course will focus on modifying the unhealthy attitudes and behaviors that foster repeat irresponsible impaired driving. The course emphasizes strategies and techniques that assist individuals in changing high-risk attitudes and behaviors related to alcohol, other drugs and driving. Small group sessions and the participation of a concerned other, at a minimum of two sessions, along with self-evaluation techniques will be utilized. The course is conducted over 30 classroom hours and a follow up evaluation three months after the last classroom session. Depending on the students' Wisconsin driving record status, a three-demerit point reduction to their current record may be requested upon successful completion of the course.

Group Dynamic for Underage Offenders
|
The 12 hour alcohol and other drug educational program will provide opportunities for students to explore and evaluate their relationship with alcohol and other drugs. Upon the Judge's court order, the defendant is required to register in person at any MATC campus.

Motorcycle Rider Education
|
The purpose of this class is to learn the skills necessary for proper cycle operation. The 16 hours of instruction will cover all the basic, sharpen skills and increase self-confidence. Students successfully completing the motorcycle rider course will receive a waiver of the WISDOT skill road test. (Students must pass the written test from DMV). All instructors are Motorcycle Safety Foundation & WISDOT certified.

Responsible Beverage
|
The 4 hour Responsible Beverage Service Course is designed to
provide learning experiences which enable alcohol beverage licensees and licensed operators understand their legal responsibility in the observance of laws which protect against the social, legal and financial liabilities of alcohol beverages.
