ECAM Green Light Expected This Month
March 29 will be an important day for MATC. The new center for Energy Conservation and Advanced Manufacturing goes before the Wisconsin Technical College System Board for final approval. Having surpassed the minimum private investment required for issuance of capital bonds, we continue to press forward with fund raising, aiming to make ECAM everything it needs to be for our industry partners.

ECAM is the right project at the right time. Working directly with employers, we will develop a new breed of worker and show companies how to make their facilities more efficient. The goal is to help local businesses and industries survive and thrive in a global marketplace that becomes more competitive every day. You now can see a site plan and artist's rendering on matc.edu; ECAM is beginning to take concrete shape. I will keep you posted.

In this month's Communique, you will read about how our students, faculty and staff continue to shine in the classroom and the community. So many people are doing great things, it's hard to acknowledge everyone, but I will continue to do my best.
